Lufkin is looking for Field Service Tech with commercial driving experience to join our team. The Field Service Tech will be based out of our Odessa, TX location and is responsible for providing on-site client installation, repairs, and maintenance of their equipment.  

The ideal candidate is prompt and reliable, has superior support skills and excellent communication. They will have a proven track record of client satisfaction and is motivated to provide superior service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide manual labor support for crane operators
  • Closely interact with crew members on job tasks and safety accountability
  • Assist crane operator in pumping unit inspection
  • Identify work flow with little to no supervision after appropriate mentoring and coaching
  • Perform daily safety checks to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition, including tie downs and binders
  • Develop knowledge for pumping unit mechanics and failures
  • Begin to identify unit issues and communicate with the crane operator
  • Follow related safety regulations, contract requirements, company policies, and operating procedures
  • Complete necessary documentation and reporting
  • Actively participate in the JSA process

Knowledge & Skills 

  • Knowledge of equipment safety, maintenance, and storage
  • Knowledge of basic tools, able to accurately read a measuring tape
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently in order to understand equipment load charts, prepare written orders, read safety topics, etc.

Experience & Education

  • Valid CA Class A Driver’s License (Preferred)

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Ability to lift forty (40) pounds, bend, stoop, and work safely around equipment, materials, supplies, and other items to be handled
  • Exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
